The RegionWise web site is a portal with links to other web sites. These include links to web sites operated by local, state and federal government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private businesses. When you link to another site, you are subject to the privacy policy of that new site.
Information Collection
RegionWise is the sole owner of the information collected on www.regionwise.org. RegionWise collects information from our users at several different points on the web site.
Registration
In order to submit a People Taking Action story or participate in a Forum discussion the user must complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to give contact information (name and email address) and unique identifiers (username and password). It is optional to include your address and zip code.
People Taking Action Story Submission
In order to submit a People Taking Action story, you must provide additional information after registration. You must provide your name, organization, address, city, zip code, email address, and phone number. It is optional to include your title, fax, and URL. While you must provide your phone number to RegionWise, you decide whether or not you want it published on the web site.
Feedback
It is optional to include contact information (name, address, city, state, zip code, email address) when completing a comment form. This information will not be made public, but will allow us to add you to our mailing list.
Information Use
The Forums use cookies to store the following information: the last time you logged in, your UserName and your Password, if you set it in preferences. These cookies are stored on your hard drive. Cookies are not used to track your movement or perform any function other than to enhance your use of these forums. If you have not enabled cookies in your browser, many of these time-saving features will not work properly. Also, you need to have cookies enabled if you want to enter a private forum or post a topic/reply. You may delete all cookies set by these forums in selecting the "logout" button at the top of any page.
